A recent MYGA entrant has the top of market 5-year rate but only 8 state approvals so we highlight limited state companies and also some of the challenges they face when expanding to a national scale. North American jumped to the top spot across a range of ages and deferral periods for purely guaranteed income. Nationwide continues to strengthen its non-Annexus product suite and F&G dropped their fee for Accelerator Plus. Allianz adds a 7-year addition to their Accumulation Advantage product suite, potentially positioning themselves for new market opportunities. And for our index, we took a throwback look at HSBC’s AiMAX, which is available only Athene AccuMax 7.
